Step3 – Start the car. Wait five minutes to allow the dead battery to charge, then start the dead car. Once it starts, remove the jumper cable in reverse order. Iremember that from my 1967 VW Bug that I bought new – it was great that it had a 12 volt battery as earlier ones had 6 volts – progress. For the VW the reason for the location was proximity to the engine, but for Audi putting it int he trunk is likely for better weight distribution.
