I found only one tool item and i can't find any more. Buy them from cities, will probably have to go to multiple cities as most only have around 1-4 of them. Tools are produced by smiths with wood, that means vlandian/batany so Rovalt has a smithy and acces to wood. Thanks for the help I'm actually doing a vlandian campaign.
Tools can be made from iron if an ironworks is constructed. It will produce two tools from two units of iron per week (the player may buy the iron themselves). You can buy one in game. It has an initial cost of 3,500 denars and upkeep costs 60 denars per week. the average profit is 232 denars per week with a return of 6.6%.

After you got enough money from looting get those caravans rolling and those workshops ready. you only need 2 of each at this point since you are most likely only clan tier 1 or 2. Oh and get married. Bonus points if she's a fighter. You can just taker her army and disband her party! This is where things get spicy.
Telling horse archers to skirmish usually works for me, once they've killed about a dozen that's when they'll lose patience and just charge at you. For me they always charge me. Once they didn't want to charge so I made faint attacks by my cavalry to get their cavalry into a trap. horse archers, start the battle, set up your line, f6 the horse
Make a clan member with high engineering the governor of the city. Build your workshops to Tier 3 before building anything else. Put money into the city's reserves to help decrease build times.

I think the governor only speeds up the construction by a percentage, but doesn't add any so it won't improve if it's 0 construction. #8.
