There wasn't an engine spec list between years of 4.2's made for a6/s6/s4's I was looking at and they came to the conclusion that there were small intake differences, exhaust and ECU tunes between them. Apparently the s4 was rated at 340hp, A6 at 300 and the s6 at 320hp.
